Research leadership
As Principal Investigator, leads the department's research programme across its two laboratories: Agent OS, which studies the runtime foundations autonomous agents need — execution environments, persistent memory, identity and permission models, auditability and multi-agent coordination — and Human–AI Interaction, which studies interaction and communication norms between people and AI systems and their effects on teams and institutions. Both laboratories are led day to day by Ramazan Polat.
